BANGOR, Maine (March 8, 2014) -- Today, the Boys A/B West Senior All-Star Team took it to the hoop and defeated the Boys A/B East All-Star Team by a score of 143-115 at the Maine McDonald’s® High School Senior All-Star Basketball Games held at Husson University in Bangor.
Jayvon Pitts-Young of Portland H.S and Jake Moody of Wells H.S. led the way for the West with 20 points each . Dustin Cole of Bonny Eagle had 19. Leading the East scoring was Zachary Gilpin of Hampden Academy with 26 points followed by Tyler Thayer of Herman H.S. with 20 points.
Nick Burton of Falmouth H.S. won the Slam Dunk Competition earlier in the day.
The 2014 All-Star Basketball Games marks McDonald’s 26th year as lead sponsor of this event.
