All-Star History

Being invited to participate in the Maine McDonald’s High School Senior All Star Basketball Games is a top honor. The best Maine high school senior boys’ and girls’ basketball players and coaches, as well as senior academic standouts from across Maine turn out with their families and fans for two days of recognition and tournament play. For more information on the Games visit our Event Facts.

The 2017 Games mark the 37th year of the Games!  It is also a charitable fundraising event, with net proceeds from the Games directly benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Maine (RMHC). RMHC of Maine was founded in 1989 by the owner-operators of McDonald’s restaurants in Maine and Eastern New Hampshire who had a vision of giving back to the community by supporting the children of Maine.

Prior to the games, players are given the opportunity to take part in a community service event, with a visit to the Ronald McDonald House of Bangor. Maine has two Ronald McDonald Houses. For information on the Houses, visit Ronald McDonald House of Maine.
